While not technically a tip, we commonly hear from customers who notice that the letter “V” is used to spell “Trust” on their Peace dollars, and they believe that they have an error coin in their poesssion.
The fact of the matter is that the word “Trust” is spelled with the letter “V” on all Peace dollars that were produced from 1921 – 1935. This is used to symbolize the United States’ victory in World War I, so in a way, all Peace dollars are somewhat of a commemorative coin.
While variety or error Peace silver dollars do exist, and can sell at a high premium, this is not one of them.
