Atlanta Gold & Coin Buyers is pleased to announce that we’ve been named as Atlanta’s 2014 coin dealer of the year by Kudzu. Kudzu is considered one of the leading social media sites in the industry and we’re humbled to receive the award. This is the second time in three years that we’ve been the recipient of this award and are appreciative to all of our loyal customers who have taken the time to vote for us. Meeting our customers’ expectations is our primary goal and we believe that this is confirmation that we’re on the right track. We look forward to continuing to work with all of our regular customers as well as new prospective customers in the weeks and months to come.

We also wanted to share with our customers some exciting recent developments as well as future plans that we have in store for our company. We worked with our developers late last year to create a coin selling application, which can be accessed from our buying rates page. This new feature has been a success and has been used to the tune of over $100,000 in transactions over the past few months. It’s an ideal feature to use if you’re at work and don’t have the ability to call or if it’s after regular business hours. This is no way means that we don’t welcome your phone calls, and in fact, regularly take business calls in the evening as well as during the weekends. One of the greatest benefits of our coin selling application is that it provides price certainty in a volatile gold and silver market.

In addition to our new coin selling application, Tony Davis, the owner and founder of Atlanta Gold & Coin Buyers, is transitioning over full time to build on the tremendous job our staff has done over the past five years. As always, we’ll continue to meet with customers by appointment. We believe that this is important for a few reasons. Firstly, meeting with customers by appointment allows us to provide you with our undivided time and attention. Secondly, this prevents customers from arriving at the same time and unnecessarily waiting. Thirdly, while our location is located at an upscale office in the suburbs, the safety of our customers is of the utmost importance, and believe that staggering appointments helps to reduce any stress or concerns that our customers may have when dealing in valuable items.

Another exciting development is our acceptance by Certified Coin Exchange (CCE) as an authorized dealer. CCE is the largest rare coin dealer network in the nation and boasts as members some of the top coin dealers in the nation. Being part of this network is important from a couple of perspectives, as CCE only accepts companies as authorized dealers who are well established and have a solid reputation in the industry. Additionally, being a member of this network provides us with the benefit of accessing real time market pricing on all U.S. coins, bullion and certified coins. While other pricing resources, such as the Blue Book, are helpful, there’s no substitute for having live market information available at our fingertips. As a result, we plan on making more frequent adjustments to our live buying rates page.

We have a couple of additional programs in the works, which we’ve yet to finalize, but thought we’d share with our customers. It’s our intention to increase the use of social media to keep customers apprised of new inventory, special needs, breaking coin news and new educational materials that we publish, as more and more folks are using social media as a form of communication. Additionally, we’ll be rolling out a new travel policy over the new month or so, which will be geared toward persons with physical disabilities who are unable to meet at our location and individuals with large collections that are located outside of the metro Atlanta location. We do a good bit of business with customers throughout the Southeast, and in particular neighboring states, such as North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and Florida and believe that establishing a formalized travel program will aid in better serving our non-local customer base. Just this past year one of our coin consultants visited a family in Michigan with a large collection, so we’re certainly willing to travel for substantial collections.
