As a lifelong coin and baseball fan, I’m particularly excited about the National Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative gold and silver coins that will be released in 2014. A design competition is being held for a couple of more weeks, and five baseball Hall of Famers, including Joe Morgan, Brooks Robinson, Don Sutton, Dave Winfield, and Ozzie Smith will be judges of the head side of the design.
What’s of particular interest with this coin is that it will be concave and convex to give it more of a three dimensional look. The unique design will also give the appearance of a baseball, which is sure to be a hit among coin collectors and baseball fans alike.
