Sell Your Old, Rare, Collectible, and Numismatic Coins for More!

These days it appears as though nearly everyone is only interested in gold, silver, and platinum coins, with little regard to old, collectible, or numismatic coins that used to be highly popular.  While it’s true that coins that contain precious metals content are currently leading the industry, there’s still a market for numismatic coins.  A metro Atlanta based coin dealer that also has a nationwide online presence through its mail in program that buys and sells old, rare, collectible and numismatic coins at extremely competitive prices is Atlanta Gold and Coin Buyers.

While we always believe in catering to our customer’s needs, we also realize that there are always going to be trends that dominate the industry at certain points in time, but as is the case with most trends, they’re only temporary, so we’re willing to buy old, collectible, and numismatic coins at a time when there’s less overall interest in these coins.  We don’t mind being patient waiting for the market for these coins to come back in popularity.

What do we mean when we refer to buying and selling old, rare, collectible, or numismatic coins?  In our definition, these are any coins that are worth more than the value of the underlying metal content of the coin.  These can be coins composed of nearly any metal, including copper, nickel, zinc, aluminum, steel, gold, silver, platinum, or palladium.  Old paper currency also falls into this category, as many old bills sell well above the face value printed on the bill.

What type of old, rare, collectible, or numismatic coins does Atlanta Gold and Coin Buyers buy?  We buy most U.S. coins (check our ‘What We Buy’ page for additional details on the coins that we purchase), old U.S. paper currency, including old state issued bills and Confederate currency, as well as any foreign coins that contain precious metals.  Since overall demand for foreign coins is less than for U.S. coins, we have decided to limit the foreign coins that we buy and sell to those that coin gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, as these coins are of most interest to coin collectors.

In fact, we regularly buy old, rare, and numismatic foreign coins individually or as part of a coin collection.  While we most commonly see old silver coins from countries such as Canada, Great Britain, Germany, France, and Spain, there aren’t any foreign issued coins that contain precious metals that we won’t buy, so this allows us to conduct business with individuals from all over the nation who are interested in selling their old, rare, and numismatic foreign coins for more.

As coin experts, we know how to properly determine the value of your old, rare, collectible, and numismatic coins.  Not only that, but we offer free-no obligation evaluations and appraisals of your coins.  Not located in the metro Atlanta area?  No problem!  We offer a mail-in option for individuals that are interested in doing business with us , but are located outside of the metro Atlanta area.  Give us a call today and let us earn your business!
