Trailing only American silver eagles in popularity, one ounce Canadian silver maple leaf coins are in high demand among silver bullion investors and coin collectors alike, and have recently shattered all previous sales records. These pure bullion coins sell at a slightly lower premium than American silver eagles, which are attractive to the cost conscious silver investor. First minted in 1988 (only two years after the introduction of American silver eagles), hundreds of millions of these coins have been produced and sold the world over. Considering their popularity, you should have a broad and liquid market in which to sell these coins, if the need arises in the future, no matter where in the world you may be located.
Junk Silver Coins
Beginning early last year, 90% silver coins, commonly referred to as “junk silver coins” set the market ablaze. For a long stretch during the year, supplies were nearly impossible to come by and premiums rose to the level of American silver eagles, if not higher. While these coins still remain incredibly popular, their premiums have dropped down to more reasonable levels, making these coins a solid investment. A favorite among survivalists, 90% U.S. silver coins are coveted for their known weight and silver content as well as the various denominations in which the coins were produced.
