Purchase Junk Silver Coins in $100 Face Value lots at Dealer Prices!

Atlanta Gold and Coin Buyers is offering individuals the opportunity to purchase junk silver coins in $100 face value lots (or more) at dealer prices.  What exactly are dealer prices and how are they determined?  A common way to determine dealer prices are to view the buy/sell prices in the most recent available greysheet.  This is a coin dealer’s newsletter and lists the prices at which dealers purchase junk silver coins from each other, among other coins.

The prices quoted are typically the melt value of the coins; although, at times when junk silver coins are in high demand, dealers may purchase junk silver coins from one another at a bit of a premium.  These coins always sell for at least the melt value of the coins; although, on occasion, it’s possible to purchase 40% silver half dollars or silver war nickels for below their respective melt values.

For those who are unfamiliar with the term, junk silver coins consist of common date pre-1965 90% silver dimes, quarters, and half dollars that sell for the silver value of the coins as opposed to a collective or numismatic value.  These coins are in relatively high demand due to their known silver content and their ability to be liquidated with relative ease.

While silver half dollars are typically the most preferred 90% silver coin, silver quarters and dimes are also in high demand and can be liquidated just as easily.  However, due to the fact that there’s a slight bias toward silver half dollars, these coins typically sell at a slightly higher premium when sold in $100 or $1,000 face value lots compared to the other denominations or a mix of all three coins.

Some Atlanta coin dealers, including Atlanta Gold and Coin Buyers, also sell Morgan and Peace silver dollars in $100 lots, but because these coins are not only purchased for their silver value, but also their collectible or numismatic value, they sell at a premium to spot. The prices will vary based on the condition of the coins.  We also buy old silver dollars and junk silver coins in large lots, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re interested in selling your silver coins.

In summary, if you’re in the market to purchase junk silver coins, silver dollars, or other types of silver coins, Atlanta Gold and Coin Buyers can accommodate your needs.  Not only do we sell junk silver coins at prices well below our competition, but we also buy junk silver coins for top dollar, so we should be your coin dealer of choice regardless of your buying or selling needs.
